Bee's Senior Session {Austin, TX Urban Senior Photography}

This weekend I headed to Austin to do a senior session for the daughter of one of my best friends. Bee turned 18 and I was fortunate enough to be present for her birthday party as well. It was a good time, and also happened to be the first time I've ever had S'mores around a bonfire! What a delicious treat!!

Bee is an amazing girl--- she's smart, works hard, is fun and silly to hang around with, and has a real genuine sweetness that shines thru at all times. Earlier this year, her mom mentioned that they started getting senior photography information in the mail and when she asked Bee where she wanted to do them, Bee replied, "I want Maria to do my senior photos."

On Sunday, we ventured down to Sixth Street in Austin and had a really good time! This was a unique session, in that we had some pretty cool experiences doing the photos. I'll share more on that when I get a specific group of photos edited and posted.

(More to come over the next few days... Keep checking back!)

Weekend Update

It's getting to be that time of year when our schedule gets jam-packed with weekend events. Not that I'm complaining--- I love the time from Thanksgiving through New Years!

The first plan is for a senior photo session this weekend in Austin. I absolutely LOVE Austin! This senior session will be a lot of fun because it's for the daughter of one of my dearest old friends (old, as in a concept of time, not age!). Bee is also having her 18th birthday this weekend, so we thought it would be a perfect time to do her senior photos as well.

While I'm in Austin, Frank will be busy trying to get the house ready for my daughter to move in. We started cleaning out our spare room (which has been storing boxes we haven't opened since we moved in last year) and got about halfway thru the room. Now, we need to get some plywood to put a floor into the attic space above the garage so we can store some things up there. Basically, it's a process of "shuffling" things around: The items we stored in the dressers in Audrey's room and closet need to move into the spare room. The items in the spare room need to move into the attic space.

The plan is to have everything ready by the first weekend in December. So our schedule looks like this so far: Austin this weekend, Thanksgiving & family events next weekend, move Audrey in the following weekend & attend my company Christmas party, then the annual Christmas party Frank and I throw for our friends the weekend after that, then it's Audrey's birthday the next weekend, then Christmas weekend, then New Year's weekend. Whew!! For having so much holiday and vacation time scheduled, it sure never feels like we get any rest!
